Three area players named first-team All-Ohio in Division III-IV

Griffin Doseck of Anna, Nate Bruns of Marion Local and Ethan Conley of Franklin-Monroe were named first-team All-Ohio on Tuesday by the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association.

Doseck was named to the Division III first team. Bruns and Conley were named to the Division IV first team. All three are seniors.

Doseck averaged 15.0 points points per game for the Rockets, who finished 25-3 and reached the regional finals.

Bruns led the Flyers to the district title game where they fell to state semifinalist St. Henry. Conley averaged 27.3 points for the Jets, who lost in the district finals to Jackson Center.

Brookville’s Jacob Gudorf was a third-team pick in D-III.

Adonis Davis of Emmanuel Christian and Sabien Doolittle of Springfield Catholic Central were second-team honorees in D-IV.

The players of the year are Christopher Anthony of Canal Winchester Harvest Prep (D-III) and Zeb Jackson of Maumee Valley Country Day. Archbold’s Joe Frank and Berlin Hiland’s Mark Schlabach were named coaches of the year in D-III and D-IV, respectively.

The Division III and IV teams were announced on Tuesday. Teams are chosen at the district level by media reps throughout the state based on coaches’ nominations. Ohio’s Mr. Basketball will be announced on Thursday.

The OPSWA announced the All-Ohio girls basketball teams last week.
