Gruden coaches the Raiders from 1998-2001 before being traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He led his second team to a Super Bowl win over his first one the following season and remained the coach of the Buccs through the 2008 season.

After they fired him, he went into broadcasting with ESPN.

The Raiders lured him back to coaching with a reported 10-year, $10 million contract.
