In case you missed it, Meyer's name was mentioned in a FootballScoop.com story about the approach LSU will take to replace Les Miles after he was fired Sunday.
The story didn’t so much indicate Meyer or Bob Stoops or Jimbo Fisher – all national championship-winning coaches – would be offered the job as it explained that is the type of coach that would be targeted.
It caught fire, though, and spread across the internet.
