Votto wasn’t recognized by a security guard, so he asked the fan for help. A video of the incident was posted to Twitter.
“Hey, who am I?” said Votto as he pointed to the fan.
“Joey Votto,” the fan said. “That’s the man.”
The fan then said, “MVP!” and asked for a fist bump, which Votto provided before walking past the guard.
