• Ronnie “Turk” Hartman (1968 graduate): Excelled in football as a four-year letterman and two-way offensive and defensive lineman.
Was the team captain as a senior and All-Fort Ancient Valley Conference first team in 1966-67.
• L.D. Schear (’98): Was a basketball standout, earning three varsity letters.
Was a Kenton Trace Conference first team pick as a junior and senior and also was All-Southwest District honorable mention. Totaled 720 career points, which was good for No. 10 all-time in the program when he graduated.
Also was a District 15 All-Star in 1997-98.
• Mimi Goodyear (2003): A shot-blocking dominate inside basketball player who lettered three times.
Was chosen third team All-Ohio in 2002-03 and first team All-Southwest District both those seasons. Also was the District 15 player of the year in 2003 and the Dayton Daily News All-Area player of the year in 2002-03.
Ended career with most blocks shots in a game (11), season (101) and career (200).
• Aleshia Bors (’05): Another basketball standout and four-year letterman. Was the All-Area player of the year in 2004-05 and led the Spartans to the final four in ’05.
Had program career highs of points (1,140), steals (299), and rebounds (598). Was second team All-Ohio in 2005 and helped Waynesville win four Southwestern Buckeye League titles.
Also lettered four times in volleyball and was an All-SWBL player and a two-year letterman in softball.
• Abigail Nelson (’05): Yet another four-year basketball letterman. Finished fourth in all-time points scored (839). A 3-point specialist, totaled 143 for her career, including a season high of 50 and game high of seven.
Was named to the all-tournament state final four team in 2005. Also excelled in soccer as a four-year letterman. Helped Spartans win four SWBL titles and led state in assists (36) as a senior. Had 70 career assists and a program record five in one game.
Also lettered one season in softball.
• Gail Cook (special inductee): Was in some capacity for Waynesville basketball for 41 years, including 31 as the boys scorekeeper. Also involved in Waynesville youth basketball, football and baseball.
• Mike Couch (’77): A 30-year booster member, heavily involved in youth and middle school baseball and football. Key fund-raiser for the football stadium and track complex and athletic field reconstruction and maintenance.
• The 1981 football team. The Spartans were 10-0 in the regular season and were KTC champs, allowing only 31 points. The team qualified for the playoffs for the first time in program history.
