Week 3: Centerville, Fairmont go 3-0; Northmont rolls Tipp; Wayne puts on an air show

Brandon Walters 24-yard field goal as time expired gave the Centerville High School football team a 27-26 win against Pickerington North on Friday, moving the Elks to 3-0 this season.

The field goal was the finishing touch of an epic comeback after being down nine points with three minutes left.

The road to 3-0 was smoother for Fairmont, who crushed Milford 42-0. The Firebirds out-gained the Eagles 342-145, forced three turnovers and held onto the ball 17 minutes longer.

In the most anticipated MAC game of the year, and every year, Marion Local defeated Coldwater.

Lebanon scored 28 unanswered points to hammer Fenwick.

Braden Woods, the Wildcats backup quarterback, came off the bench and pushed Franklin over Piqua.

Kenton Ridge pounded Stebbins 56-6.

Week 3: High School Football Scoreboard

Centerville 27, Pickerington North 26: Brandon Walters nailed a 24-yard field goal as time expired to put Centerville on top in a wild fourth-quarter comeback. Centerville trailed by nine points with 3:15 left to play. Alec Grandin threw for 206 yards and two touchdowns to lead the way.

Wayne 34, North-Clarkson Canada 21: Rashad McKee went 25-of-39 for 321 yards and two touchdowns and L'Christian Smith hauled in 10 receptions for 189 yards and a score for Wayne.

Trotwood 28, Pickerington Central 19: Markell Stephens-Peppers paced Trotwood with 185 yards in the air and four touchdowns. Raveion Hargrove added 160 yards rushing on 16 attempts.

Northmont 44, Tippecanoe 12: Miles Johnson threw for 349 yards and four touchdowns as Northmont racked up 576 total yards of offense in the win. Cole Barhorst tallied two rushing touchdowns for Tippecanoe.

Miamisburg 41, Loveland 6: Tony Clark ran for 115 yards and three touchdowns, Jon Yerkins had a rushing and receiving TD and Tate Vongsy threw for a pair of scores as Miamisburg scored 41 unanswered points in the win.

Beavercreek 48, Fairborn 20: Kaden Wenger piled up 224 yards rushing with two touchdowns to carry 'Creek. K.J. Redmon had two rushing scores for Fairborn.

Sidney 35, Carroll 7: Isaiah recorded 304 yards on 26 carries with three touchdowns to carry Sidney. Frederick Butts scored the lone TD for Carroll.

Greenville 35, Urbana 14: Jarrad Crist piled up 236 yards on the ground with three touchdowns and Micah Light added 176 yards rushing with two scores for Greenville. Nick Dorsey had two rushing scores for Urbana.

Winton Woods 29, Springboro 17: Connor Luksic hit three field goals, including a 42-yarder, in a losing effort for Springboro.

Fairfield 10, Lakota West 3: Erick All hauled in a 29-yard strike from Jeff Tyus and Nick Maddy's 26-yard field goal sealed the win for Fairfield.

Lakota East 24, Princeton 14: Jack Dobrozsi ran for 113 yards and two touchdowns and Jeffrey Garcia tacked on 110 yards with a score to lead East.

Colerain 38, Middletown 7: Blake Marshall hit Shannon Morris on a seven-yard strike to tally Middletown's lone score.

Alter 42, Xenia 19: Lane Harshbarger ran in two touchdowns and Connor Bazelak threw for two more to lead Alter. Sincere Wells and Jelani Tucker each had rushing scores Xenia.

Chaminade Julienne 63, Meadowdale 22: Ryan Peltier went 14-of-17 with 259 yards and three passing touchdowns and another on the ground to carry CJ.

Carlisle 43, Oakwood 41: Spencer Mays ran in a touchdown and two-point conversion in overtime and Carlisle stopped Oakwood's 2-point attempt to prevail in a back-and-forth game.

Milton Union 29, Northwestern 13: William Morris had a 32-yard interception return, a 15-yard carry and a 10-yard pass all go for scores to lead MU.

Franklin 21, Piqua 7: Ryan Montgomery rushed for two scores and caught a third for Franklin. Devon Brown scored the lone TD for Piqua.

Preble Shawnee 21, West Carrollton 14: Eli Gibson's 41-yard scamper in the fourth quarter was the difference for Preble Shawnee.

Eaton 22, Talawanda 7: Caleb Puckett racked up 133 yards with three touchdowns as Eaton scored two touchdowns in the final quarter for the rally win.

Ben Logan 42, Upper Scioto Valley 19: Derek Coy connected with Cole Waugh on a pair of touchdowns and ran in two more to pace Ben Logan.

Dunbar 26, Mount Healthy 20: Tavion Thomas rushed for 112 yards with two scores including the game-winning touchdown with three seconds to play for Dunbar. Jamar Walker added 200 passing yards with two TDs.

Tri-County North 39, Twin Valley South 6: Brian Stinson tallied four touchdowns, two in the air and two on the ground, to carry TCN.

Anna 52, Versailles 20: Travis Meyer threw for 247 yards with two passing TDs and ran in a third to lead Anna.
