About Wright State: The Raiders probably had an easier path to the tourney title last season. They played the sixth, seventh and eighth seeds in their three games, including a 75-57 win over Cleveland State (12-23) in the finals. The top four seeds advanced to the semis this year. … They're second in the league in the NET national rankings at 142 (out of 353 Division-I teams). … They're first in the league on defense (67.5 points per game) and eighth in scoring (73.8). … Love is tied for eighth with Vernard Hollins (2000-04) on the school's all-time rebounding list with 594 and tied for fifth in the Division-I era (since 1987). Next up is Seth Doliboa (2001-04) with 614. … The Raiders are trying to win their fourth league tourney crown. They also beat UIC for the 1993 Mid-Continent Conference title and Butler for the 2007 Horizon League championship.

About Green Bay: The Phoenix (No. 221 in the NET rankings) is making its first appearance in the tourney semifinals since winning the title as a four seed in 2016. It is first in the league in scoring (81.2) and last in defense (80.2). … Cohen, who transferred from Marquette after his sophomore year, is fifth in the conference in scoring, seventh in rebounding (6.3), fourth in assists (4.5), fourth in blocks (1.1) and first in steals (1.9). … The Raiders held the first-team all-league pick to four points in an 87-75 home win Jan. 26, but he erupted for 25 points, seven rebounds and three assists as Green Bay prevailed at home, 70-67, on Feb. 28. "We struggled at Green Bay. Offensively, we just couldn't get anything done. They just smothered us," Nagy said. "Sandy Cohen is the one who got recognized — and he should have. He's one heckuva basketball player. But they put a bunch of really good players on the floor."
