Astrotech had revenue of $196,000 for the quarter, compared with revenue of $12,000 the same quarter the previous year.
As of March 31, the company said it had no debt and $28 million on hand in cash and investments.
About an hour before the markets’ close on Monday, Astrotech shares were down more than 5 percent at $1.71.
Astrotech operates three business units: 1st Detect Corp., which commercializes spectrometer technology; Astrogenetix Corp., a biotechnology company; and Astral Images Inc., which is working with digital image-scanning technologies. It is led by Thomas Pickens III, the company’s chairman and CEO.
