This week on August 24 and especially August 25, there will be a brief window to find the thin waxing crescent moon and the planet Jupiter.

Right after sunset which is around 8 p.m. and before the moon sets which is around 10 p.m., the moon will guide you to the evening planet.
Jupiter will be close to the horizon in the western sky. It will shine steady and bright.
