Mostly sunny with chance of rain; Strong storms possible tomorrow

Today will be mostly sunny, with a chance for isolated showers, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

It will be dry for most today, but there’s chance of rain and a chance of thunderstorms in the evening, which will continue as clouds build up overnight.

Highs will be around 86 degrees, and lows will be around 69 degrees.

On Saturday there will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. In particular, the NWS said a round of storms will be possible Saturday evening that could be strong to severe. Strong to damaging winds would be the main threat in these storms but large hail will be possible as well.

Rain and storm chances will trail off after midnight.

Temperatures will stay warm, with highs around 85 degrees and lows around 67 degrees.

Sunday will be mostly sunny, with a high around 85 degrees.

Clouds will gradually increase in the evening and overnight, with a chance of rain starting around sundown that will continue through morning. Lows will be around 68 degrees.
