This afternoon, the rain will be lighter and will go into the evening hours.
Temperatures will be unseasonably warm and could set new record highs. The current high for Dayton is 65 degrees set in 1897, according to NWS.

Wind gusts as high as 34 mph are also possible today.
There will be a dry period this evening, with a slight chance of rain and thunderstorms starting around dark. Showers are likely after midnight. Lows will be around 56 degrees overnight.
On Wednesday, there will be a chance of rain, with showers decreasing in the late morning.
Temperatures during the day will again be much warmer than normal, with highs around 61 degrees.
Cold air will move into the region Wednesday night, bringer cooler — but still slightly warmer than normal — temperatures. Highs will be around the low to mid-40s for the rest of the week with overnight lows around freezing.
Thursday will be mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers in the afternoon. Showers are possible overnight, with a chance for snow as well. Any accumulation would be light, according to NWS.
Conditions will dry out again Friday.
