DETAILED FORECAST

Clouds increase overnight, with lows in the mid-teens, StormCenter 7 Meteorologist Rich Wirdzek said.

After a refreeze of snow melted during sunshine on Thursday, “back and side roads will remain slippery and icy,” he said.

Friday: It will be mainly cloudy with light snow approaching areas far south and southeast of Dayton in the afternoon. Some light snow may reach as far north as the Dayton metro area in the evening.

“Any accumulation will be small, under 1 inch in the Dayton area; less closer to the I-70 corridor; and none north of I-70,: Wirdzek said. “Areas south and southeast of Dayton (such as parts of Warren, Butler and Clinton counties) could receive 1 to 2 inches of snow. Any snow will taper down into the early morning hours of Saturday.”

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory from 4 p.m. Friday to 7 p.m. Saturday for Clinton County.

Saturday: A few snow showers will linger far southeast before sunrise. Clouds will eventually give way to some sun heading into the afternoon. Highs will be near 20 degrees.

Sunday: Partly cloudy conditions are expected with highs in the mid-30s.

Monday: Clouds increase with rain arriving in the afternoon and evening. Highs will be in the upper 30s. Rain will mix with and change to wet snow later at night, with little or no accumulation expected.

Tuesday: A few snow showers are possible early in the morning. Clouds linger through the day with highs in the mid-30s.
