“Tonight skies will be mostly clear early with some more clouds arriving by sunrise, but we’ll stay dry into the morning commute,” Wirdzek said.
Thursday: Skies will become mostly cloudy through the morning. Highs will be in the upper 30s.
“A few showers will push in from the south in the afternoon, but these will be mainly concentrated in areas south of Interstate 70,” Wirdzek said.
Thursday night, a few more showers are possible, again mainly south of I-70, and overnight roads could become slick in spots.
“Later at night, some spots will dip down to near freezing, with most areas just above the freezing mark. Some bridges and overpasses may become icy in these pockets that dip to near freezing. A widespread freezing rain event is not expected, but a few icy spots could exist into the pre-dawn part of the morning drive,” Wirdzek said.
Friday: The morning will be dry but mostly cloudy. Rain is expected in the afternoon and evening. Highs will be in the mid-40s.
Saturday: A few leftover showers are possible early, but the day will feature a general drying trend, with a little afternoon sun expected. Highs will be in the low to middle 40s.
Sunday: Partly sunny skies will precede seasonable highs in the mid-40s.
