A cold start to the day is expected with the potential for near freezing conditions through early morning, according to Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell .

Sunshine is expected to return for much of the Valley today although some high clouds will continue to stream through the area. Temperatures will rebound into the middle 50s in the afternoon. It will not be quite as cold tonight, although many areas will still drop into the upper 30s.
Dry weather is expected midweek into Thursday with another threat for frost Thursday morning. Gusty winds and a chance for some passing showers will develop to end the week.
