Festivities start on March 16 and take off on March 17 for the big day. If you have never been, there are a few things to consider. If you have been before, these are good reminders so that you arrive ready to go.
☘️1) We repeat there is no green beer. If you are looking for green beer, you are in the wrong place.
☘️2) If you don’t like crowds, this is NOT the event for you.
☘️3) Don't bring a bag or a backpack with you. They will not be allowed in.
☘️4) It is $10 to get in on both March 16 and March 17. If you come in on March 16 and pay $10, your wristband is good for St. Patrick’s Day as well — two for the price of one.
☘️5) Stranger will be playing the main stage on March 16.
☘️6) The Saturday night VIP experience costs $50 and includes admission to both March 16 and 17, eight tickets to use for beer, cocktails, or food under the tent and a St. Patrick’s Day souvenir cup.
☘️7) Sunday only, there is a free shuttle that starts at 10 a.m. in front of The Dublin Pub on the corner of Fifth St. and Wayne Ave. It will run every 30 minutes to Flanagan's Pub near UD. It is free and runs till midnight.
☘️8) If you don't want to fight crowds inside the pub, the tent will be fully functional at 5:30 a.m. Sunday. There will be beer and liquor, as well as food and merchandise available for purchase.
☘️9) The big tent will have two draft beer trucks, a Jameson bar, a small bar upstairs on the deck as well as one in the covered patio, jello shots, a food area selling hamburgers, hot dogs, Guinness brats, Pub fries, fried pickles, and fish.
☘️10) All sales under the tents are cash except the Jameson bar and merchandise area which will accept credit cards.
☘️11) They will have security at a table beginning at 4:30 a.m. checking ID's, giving wristbands and taking the $10 cover charge.
☘️12) The first 100 people will get a free St. Patrick's Day T-shirt.
☘️13) The line will form at the entrance to the big tent and will wrap around the corner of Fifth St. and Wayne Ave. towards Franco's.
☘️14) The tent will do last call at 12:30 a.m. and completely closed by 1 a.m. The Pub will be open until 2 a.m. and the kitchen will be open until 1 a.m.
☘️15) Make sure you have a safe ride home.

We asked him for his thoughts on the two-day event, which kicks off on March 16 and continues at 5:30 a.m. on Saint Patrick's Day with Dayton's largest beer breakfast.

1) Come early, stay late. Helps the bottom line.
2) You can share Jameson shots with others. Alcohol will kill bacteria you know.
3) Green beer is overrated. None of that at Dublin Pub. Only the good stuff and no you won’t pee green.
4) Help me here, is ‘Care Cab’ still around?
5) Please don’t wear ‘Fit Shaced’ or ‘Go Luck Yourself’ T-Shirts. They’re so 2018.
6) Owner Steve Tieber is tall.
7) Don’t put your bare hands under the Celtic Academy of Irish Dance dancers shoes. Trust me, still can’t use my right pinky.
8) If inebriated, incoherent and inaudible, try the new app ‘Word Slur Translator.’ It’s really awesome or rather rolly awshum!
9) Keep the emcee well oiled with booze and brews. According to ancient Emcee Folklore, brings you good luck. Also, may need #8.
10) Invite Alexis Larsen and Amelia Robinson along. They’ll watch your back and may pick up couple of rounds. (Just sayin’)
