☘️BEST BETS FOR ST. PATRICK’S DAY SHENANIGANS

Even if you’re not Irish (or hit with the double whammy of being of Irish descent AND a redhead, like I am *sigh*), there are still numerous reasons to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. For one, it might be the only day of the year when you can get away with drinking exorbitant amounts of beer before 3 p.m.

To celebrate the luck of the Irish, local taverns, restaurants and bars are gearing up to make this a St. Patrick’s Day to remember with colorful and fun bashes. And sure, you can celebrate just about anywhere, green beer or not. But these are the best of the best St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in the Gem City.

☘️🍺THE DUBLIN PUB

The biggest and baddest St. Patrick’s Day celebration around town (and quite possibly in the state) is at the Dublin Pub in downtown Dayton. The Dublin Pub will celebrate its 22nd St. Patrick’s Day this weekend.

Don’t expect to find any green beer at this Irish pub, though. Expect only the real deal.

The Dublin Pub’s taps will be filled with Guinness and other brews from The Emerald Isle. Cider will be available, but domestic beers will not be. For the first time, Dublin Pub with serve Kilkenny beer at its St. Patrick’s Day bash.

There will be a huge tent to extend the celebration outdoors with live music and entertainment for hours and hours (and hours and hours).

>> CHEERS! St. Patrick’s Day-themed race coming to Oregon District

In 2014, the Dublin Pub was named one of the top 10 Irish pubs in the nation by the “Tom Horan’s America’s Top Ten Club.”

St. Patrick’s Day officially kicks off at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 17 with the “admission line pre-check” at the Wayne Avenue entrance. Purchasing the VIP Experience ($50 per person) will earn you admission for Stranger VIP Night and St. Patrick’s Day.

Get a jump start on the party with a Saturday night kickoff with Father, Son & Friends on March 14. The Big Hoopla Family Festival will take place in the Oregon District on Saturday, March 15.
