WINTER RESTAURANT WEEK: Popular Xenia spot offers great deal

The entire premise of the Miami Valley Restaurant Association’s Restaurant Week promotion is the opportunity to taste different dishes for an affordable price.

But some deals are better than others.

One Winter Restaurant Week option that caught our eye as possibly the best deal this time around was from Nick’s Restaurant in Xenia. For $25.99, two people can order an appetizer to share, which can be either just one or a combo of three deep fried vegetables. The choices are deep fried mushrooms, onion rings, cauliflower and homemade pork rinds with the choice of sriracha, Cajun or Western BBQ seasoning.

Each person can choose from three entrée offerings:

  • USDA choice Angus New York strip served on a bed of house-made onion straws, served with one side and a dinner roll.
  • Hand-cut hammered pork tenderloin fried to a classic golden brown, topped with lettuce, tomato and mayo and served on a sesame seed bun with the choice of a side.
  • Nick’s all American double cheese Bowling Alley bacon burger served with crinkle-cut fries.

For dessert, diners can choose either a classic or a cocktail. Nick’s is offering a classic chocolate chip sundae or a White Hot Russian Buckeye Vodka dessert cocktail for those 21 and up.

Ringing up at just $13 per person, it’s a really great deal for a dinner out.
