AFIT offering new, graduate cyber programs

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE — The Air Force Institute of Technology has added new, graduate courses in training to support military operations in cyberspace.

The professional continuing education programs, known as Cyber 200 and Cyber 300, are intended to build on undergraduate courses offered at Keesler Air Force Base, Miss. The AFIT courses are expected to graduate 600 students annually, Air Force officials said.

Cyber operations can include defending key U.S. computer networks and attacking an enemy’s key military networks. The Air Force has added cyberspace to the air and space domains as forums in which the service must be prepared to fight and win.
