Air Force contract puts local manufacturer in new HQ

A new nearly $7 million Air Force contract has put a West Carrollton manufacturer in a bigger home.

Spurred by the need for more space, Aero Jet Wash LLC bought a warehouse on Gargrave Road for $375,000 recently.

The company makes equipment used to clean jet engines and equipment. Based now at 440 Fame Road in West Carrollton, Aero Jet Wash bought the 13,699-square-foot property from DFS Properties, Montgomery County records indicate.

Shahin Tadayon, a partner in Aero Jet, told the Dayton Daily News Wednesday that the company recently won a U.S. Air Force contract to provide washing services at Air Force bases around the country, including at Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota, and elsewhere.

“Basically, we need the space,” he said.

The company has 15 employees and has two main operations — producing equipment to wash jets and jet engines and using that equipment to offer washing services, Tadayon said.

He said the company should be completely moved to Gargrave Road in about two weeks.

Montgomery County real estate records picked up the transaction late last week.
