That local site has been growing of late. Last fall, Northrop Grumman said it was expanding its location at 1365 Technology Court, off Research Boulevard, close to the Beavercreek-Kettering municipal border.
There, workers produce composite-material aerospace components.

The work for the new contract will also be performed in Melbourne; Syracuse, N.Y.; Independence, Ohio and in other locations, with about a third of the work to be performed in Florida, the department said.
