When plans for the new Linh’s Bistro first appeared in the Dayton Daily News in August, the restaurant’s owners indicated they would likely keep both restaurants open, at least for a period of time. But the owners told my Dayton Daily News colleague Steven Matthews — and servers at the restaurant confirmed during a lunchtime visit to Linh’s last week — that the existing location will shut down when the new restaurant opens its doors.
The new Linh’s Bistro will nearly double the seating capacity of the existing location, which seats less than 60 diners.
Linh’s serves Vietnamese and Chinese dishes, and it’s not uncommon, especially at lunch time, to find the existing restaurant filled to capacity. The move to the new location in Page Manor will allow the restaurant to expand its menu as well as its seating capacity, Mai Nguyen, the daughter of Linh’s owners Phan and Hoa Nguyen, said in August.
