Austin Landing upscale movie theater extends job fair into weekend

Austin Landing will extend a job fair through Saturday to positions - including restaurant-type slots - for the 12-screen upscale cinema set to open this fall.

Cinépolis USA held interviews Tuesday and Wednesday, with additional times set for Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The company said “all positions need to be filled” at the Cinépolis Dayton, which is expected to open in Miami Twp. in late September.

Those positions include concessions, ushers, greeters, box office, line cooks, bartenders, kitchen manager, supervisors and service managers.

“We will be having on-the-spot interviews and also hiring on the spot,” according to Sonia Sanchez of Cinépolis USA.

The $12 million Cinépolis Dayton will be a “premium” theater and the first Midwest venture for the Dallas-based company.

It will feature 1,560 seats, upscale food service and a lounge area that has outdoor seating as part of its 52,750 square feet next to Bar Louie and Bar 145.

The event will be held at the Staybridge Suites, 10110 Landing Way, from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday .
