The parent company of Elder-Beerman Stores Corp. has extended the contract of Bud Bergen to serve as its chief executive and president at least into 2012, according to filings with securities regulators.
The new pact between Bergen and Bon-Ton Stores Inc. will remain in effect through Feb. 5, 2012 and could be extended for one-year periods after provided Bergen and the company agree to do so, according to the filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
