The Greater Dayton Region Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) has announced the honorees for the 2013 National Philanthropy Day (NPD). The awards honor local foundations, corporations and individuals who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to philanthropic efforts in the greater Dayton area.

This year’s honorees include:

Outstanding Philanthropist – Bill and Wanda Lukens, nominated by the Dayton Art Institute.

Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser – Angela Frydman, nominated by Dayton Children's Hospital.

Outstanding Foundation – Brighter Tomorrow Foundation, nominated by Goodwill/Easter Seals.

Outstanding Large Corporation – PNC Bank, nominated by Graceworks Lutheran Services and Dayton Society of Natural History.

Outstanding Small Corporation – Pohlman & Talmage CPAs, Inc., nominated by Wright State University.

Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy (ages 18-23) – Casey Greene, nominated by Beau Slater.

Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy (ages 5-17) – Morgan Dunnigan, nominated by Rev. Russell Ingersoll.

Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy (age 5-17) – McKenzie Howard, nominated by Choices, Inc.

Award winners will be honored at a luncheon in November.

Casper & Casper, LLC, a leading Southwest Ohio Law firm has announced that one of its senior attorneys, Patrick W. Allen, has been selected by the American Lawyers Media and Martindale-Hubbel as a 2013 Top Rated Lawyer in Personal Injury Law. His practice has concentrated in personal injury law since coming to Dayton in 1972. He practices in courts throughout Ohio, primarily in Southwest Ohio, and in both State and Federal Courts.

American Honda Motor Co., Inc. Executive Vice President and COO Takuji Yamada presented the company's Premier Partner Award to Crown Packaging, Inc., of Kettering for excellence in on-site contract packaging solutions. The award was presented to President Michael Palmer. Crown Packaging was one of 15 award recipients selected from 46 suppliers nominated by American Honda associates out of more than 1,000 eligible companies. The award program was established in 1998 to recognize suppliers who embrace American Honda's philosophy of exceeding customer expectations with exceptional quality and service.
