Breakfast sessions on better business practices offered

Classes to be held at 3 campuses in Butler, Warren counties.

A coalition of educators is teaming up to offer classes throughout 2010 aimed at improving business.

The monthly breakfast briefings will be held from 7:30 to 9 a.m. on the second Friday monthly and rotate between the Miami University Voice of America Campus, Sinclair Community College Courseview Campus and the Warren County Career Center.

Northeast Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce President John Harris said the chamber’s Small Business Resource Development Committee came up with the idea and the three schools devised the training.

The first briefing, Creating Personal Momentum in 2010, is set for Jan. 8 at WCCC, 3525 N. Ohio 48, and focus on stress management, goal setting and more. The class will be taught by Aunja-Leis Bishop, student services coordinator at the WCCC Adult Education Division.

The breakfast briefing cost is $12 for members of the Northeast Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce and $15 for nonmembers.

Future breakfast briefings include February’s Tax Tips for Small Business Owners (WCCC), March’s Communicating Your Value in a Difficult Economy (Sinclair Courseview), April’s Managing Multiple Generations (Sinclair Courseview), May’s How to Empower Others in the Workplace (Miami – VOALC).
