CareSource hires new IT chief

DAYTON — CareSource recently hired Paul Stoddard as its new chief information officer, the managed care company said in a news release.

In his new role, effective Nov. 1, Stoddard oversees the development of information technology (IT) strategy, IT delivery, and business intelligence and informatics.

Stoddard most recently served as vice president and chief information officer with BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York. In that role, he oversaw aspects of IT such as systems development and support; business intelligence and data warehousing; web development; technology infrastructure; IT infrastructure, security and compliance. He also has experience in the field of managed care.

Stoddard received a master of business administration degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo. A native of upstate New York, he and his family will relocate to the Dayton area.
