CareSource names new vice president of pharmacy

CareSource has named Monalisa Mohanty as its new vice president of pharmacy.

Mohanty is an experienced clinician and business strategy leader with a background in the managed care, pharmaceutical, and pharmacy benefit management industries, according to the company, a nonprofit Medicaid managed care provider and private health insurer based in downtown Dayton.

Mohanty previously worked for Express Scripts and was senior clinical director for Health Plan Solutions. She has also worked for commercial health insurers, Humana, Pfizer, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.

Mohanty, who has an MBA from Brandeis University, and a pharmacy degree from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, joins CareSource as the company continues to expand its health insurance products to new states.

CareSource now serves 1.5 million members in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and West Virginia.
