The company said it is on track to close this year at more than $1 million in sales.
The new funding will enable the company to begin a nationwide marketing and sales campaign, as well as add line extensions, the company said.
“Commercializing an innovative product like Liquid Hope came with some unique challenges,” Robin Gentry McGee, the company’s founder and chief executive, said in the firm’s statement. “First was figuring out how to transfer a fresh, perishable product to one that has a two-year shelf life without added preservatives.”
The company said it is in talks with three hospitals on in-patent studies using Liquid Hope.
The Liquid Hope formula was launched in 2013, the company said.
The company moved from Wilmington, where it was founded in 2006, to 860 E. Franklin St. in Centerville earlier this month. The business also recently hired four employees, a spokeswoman said.
