The new 125,000-square-foot Kroger store being built on Feedwire Road in Centerville will open by late May or early June, according to the company.
The Cincinnati-headquartered grocery retailer is set to open the store on about 15 acres between Costco and Cabela’s, facing south toward Feedwire Road. A company spokeswoman said Kroger has invested $21.2 million into the new store at the Cornerstone of Centerville development.

The store will employ approximately 300 workers, and will start hiring for positions a few months before the opening.
The proposed store is slightly smaller than the Kroger Marketplace at 1095 S. Main St. in Centerville that opened in 2011. The grocery retailer will also close its location at 2100 East Whipp Road in Kettering once the new store is finished.
