The original Chappys at 2733 West Alex-Bell Road near Springboro Pike (Ohio 741) opened in 2007.
The new Chappys will have 50 taps devoted to craft beers, and also will offer an expanded wine and bourbon selection, Camplin said. It will employ about 75 and will seat about 360, including more than 100 in the bar area, she said. A larger kitchen will allow for an expanded menu and catering. Plans call for offering beer dinners, wine dinners and corporate events at the new venue.
Champps shut down in February 2014.
The restaurant plans to host a grand opening celebration at a later date.
