Some of the 60 jobs should remain at Cintas’ Mason headquarters, spokeswoman Heather Maley said.
The company is offering affected workers a “stay bonus,” based on tenure, to join Pomeroy or Logicalis, Maley said.
“This is how most large companies typically handle their support functions,” Maley said of the outsourcing.
“We expect our vendor to offer the impacted employees at-will employment immediately following their layoff,” Robin Everhart, Cintas’ chief compliance officer and vice president of government affairs, wrote in a March 1 letter to the state Department of Job and Family Services.
“We also expect our vendor to offer the impacted employees a rate of pay and a benefit package that is commensurate with what they currently receive from Cintas,” she wrote.
Cintas, which employs 1,300 people at its Mason headquarters and about 30,000 people overall, designs and supplies corporate uniforms, along with entrance mats, restroom supplies, first-aid and safety products, document management and fire protection services.
