Clark Schaefer Hackett acquires Cincinnati firm

Clark Schaefer Hackett, the Dayton market’s largest accounting firm, will acquire J.D. Cloud & Co. to expand its Cincinnati presence, company officials announced Friday.

J.D Cloud is Cincinnati’s oldest independent public accounting firm.

Effective July 1, the acquisition will grow Clark Schaefer Hackett’s Cincinnati staffing to 150 associates, and its total staffing to more than 400.

In mid-July, J.D. Cloud associates will move from their current downtown Cincinnati office into the Clark Schaefer Hackett office at 1 East Fourth St. Cincinnati Shareholder-in-Charge John Moster will continue to lead Clark Shaefer Hackett in the Cincinnati market, officials said.

In April, Clark Schaefer Hackett acquired Schoonover Boyer + Associates, a Columbus-area accounting firm.

Clark Schaefer Hackett now serves clients from offices in Dayton, Springfield, Columbus, Cincinnati, Toledo, Cleveland and Fort Mitchell, Ky.
