The company, which owns Sears and Kmart, has said the closing of the Kmart store at 7611 Old Troy Pike will wipe out 66 jobs.
The retailer plans to close 21 stores nationwide this spring. That will bring to 56 the number of stores that the company has said during the past year that it will close, including Ohio stores in Cleveland, Eastlake, Milford and Wadsworth.
The closings are part of the company’s regular assessment of business operations, Freely said.
A total of approximately 1,000 jobs will be affected when all the stores have closed.
