Company hosts outreach for construction workers

Construction workers interested in working on Dayton Metro Library expansion projects are encouraged to attend a Feb. 24 event in Dayton.

Skanska and American Trademark Construction Services will host an outreach event at downtown Dayton’s Crowne Plaza 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 24 for construction trades interested in work as part of the library expansion.

The project is a part of Dayton’s “Libraries for a Smarter Future” initiative, Skanska said in a news release. Skanska is partnering with American Trademark Construction Services (ATCS) on what the company called “segment one” of the project. Segment one includes five projects and is scheduled for completion in mid-2016, the company said.

The event will include a project overview presentation and a networking session. A resource fair for all attendees will follow with participants from the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce’s Minority Business Partnership.

The event is open to construction tradesmen and -women, Dayton-area businesses, and Skanska and ATCS representatives.

Crowne Plaza is at 33 E. Fifth St., Dayton. Attendees are asked to RSVP at (513) 421-0028. They may also go to http://goo.gl/7gFHkn for Google document registration.
