Connor Group sells Atlanta property for $24M

Centerville-based real estate investment firm The Connor Group has sold an apartment community in Atlanta for $23.7 million, company officials announced Thursday.

The Connor Group’s closing on the 228-unit community near Emory University was the firm’s 20th sale in the Atlanta market. The firm’s investors doubled their money on the sale, officials said.

The company entered the Atlanta market in 2003 and still owns five communities in the metro area.

“We were at a point where we felt we could maximize our return to investors,” said Larry Connor, managing partner, in a statement. “We like this market and we’ll continue to look for acquisitions in Atlanta.

The Connor Group owns $1.5 billion in assets. It owns and operates communities in Atlanta, Austin, Charlotte, Chicago, Cincinnati, Columbus, Dallas, Dayton, Nashville and Raleigh-Durham, N.C.
