New recalls: children’s clothing and kitchen products

Children's clothing and food slicers are the latest product recalls announced this week by the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Carter's three-piece penguin cardigan sets are being recalled because the toggle button can come off which poses a choking hazard for your child.

There are three reports of children putting the buttons in their mouths, but no one has been hurt.

The clothing sets in sizes newborn to 24 months were sold at Bon-Ton, Burlington, Kohl’s, Macy’s, and other stores, and online at www.carters.com.

Look for the style number 127G596 on the cardigan tag or price tag with the following UPC numbers on the back: 190795798203, 190795798166, 190795798173, 190795798180, 190795798135, 190795798142, 190795798159.

Keep the cardigan sets away from children and contact Carter’s at 800-692-4674 to request a free return label and an electronic gift card.

Some mandoline slicers under the Sharper Image and Frigidaire brand names are under recall because they could cut you.

There are four reports of small blades detaching form the julienne attachment, but no one has been hurt.

The Sharper  Image mandoline slicer under recall has the model number 12SP1006 with the UPC code 709996669580 and has a light green attachment.

The Frigidaire product under recall is blue and has the model number 12EP203 and the UPC code 709996709118.

Stop using the recalled slicers and contact Premier Kitchen Products at 800-304-4035 for a $15 gift card.
