People have been paralyzed and have had spinal fractures from some weight-lifting equipment by Cybex, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The Cybex Smith Press model 5340 (1989-1993) and 5341 (1993-2009) are under recall because the weight bar can fall on you. There are a total of 27 injuries reported.
Do not use the recalled weight-lifting presses and contact Cybex at 877-423-3253 to receive a free repair or refund, depending on the model.
Some StairMaster exercise machines are under recall because they may accelerate rapidly and cause you to fall. Twelve injuries have been reported.
The StairMaster 8G Gauntlet Stepmill machines under recall have the model number 9-5250 with date codes between 1734 and 1823 and model number 9-5270 with date codes between 1813 and 1816.

Rubber alligator, octopus, frog and fish toys by BSN Sports are under recall because they contain toxic levels of lead that could make children sick.
The orange and yellow surface paint on the toys was found to be contaminated with levels of lead that exceed federal standards.
No injuries have been reported, but don’t let your child play with the toys and contact BSN Sports at 888-847-8816 for a merchandise credit.
Reptile cage lights sold by PetSmart are being recalled because they may catch on fire.
Stop using the All Living Things reptile strip light fixtures in the 20-inch size with the UPC #73725773305 and the 30-inch size with the UPC #73725773306.
There are six reports of the hood of the light fixtures igniting but no injuries.
Contact PetSmart at 888-839-9638 or return the lights to the store to receive a full refund.
