Corbus, LexisNexis collaborate to manage supply-chain risk

Two Dayton-based information technology firms are collaborating to help companies manage supply-chain risks more effectively and efficiently, officials announced Wednesday.

Corbus LLC, a Dayton-based supply chain management and information technology company, is collaborating with Miami Twp.-based LexisNexis to offer two of the latter company’s analytical data-driven tools to help clients increase the value of outsource procurement operations, officials said.

One of the products, Lexis Diligence, helps clients gain better intelligence when evaluating potential or existing suppliers. The other product, LexisNexis SmartWatch, allows companies to anticipate and manage supplier risk, minimize supply chain disruptions, help prevent possible litigation and protect corporate brands.

“We’ve had existing clients come to us asking for risk mitigation and supplier monitoring tools before, so it just seemed to make sense to work with LexisNexis,” said David Spencer, Corbus’ senior vice president for business development and marketing, in a statement.

Corbus, a wholly owned subsidiary of Soin International LLC, has 700 employees in the Dayton-Cincinnati area.

LexisNexis offers computer-assisted research services. The company has about 3,400 employees and contractors in Miami Twp. at its Legal and Professional division, which is the company’s biggest single concentration of employment.
