The event was scheduled for the week of June 15 at the Dayton Convention Center.
CORONAVIRUS: This Ohio innovation is capturing the nation's attention
“It’s regrettable, but the prudent thing to do,” Lt. Gen. Robert McMurry, AFLCMC commander, said in a statement. “First and foremost, we have to be certain we are doing all we can to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus and keep people safe. Given the uncertainties, we do not want to make additional, significant financial commitments for the June event.”
Once travel restrictions are lifted, the Air Force said organizers look forward to alternate venues for government-industry collaboration.
“We are going to focus our effort to come back even bigger with LCID 2021,” McMurry said. “That will let us continue the tradition that makes LCID a first-class dialogue between government, industry, academia and the military.”
