Costco hiring for new area store

Costco Wholesale has posted online job openings for more than 30 types of positions at its first store in the Dayton area, according to the company’s website.

Costco's 148,000-square-foot store and fuel station is scheduled to open in November. The members-only retail warehouse will employ 200 people and will anchor phase one of the Cornerstone of Centerville project at Wilmington Pike and Feedwire Road, just off I-675.

Costco, the nation’s second-largest retailer, operates two stores in the Cincinnati area and two in the Columbus area, but has not entered the Dayton-area market until now.

Costco reportedly pays its hourly workers an average of just over $20 an hour.

The company’s website lists job opportunities that range from forklift operator to registered pharmacist. For more information, visit costco.com/jobs.
