Crown Equipment expands Ohio HQ

Crown Equipment Corp. has completed construction of a new office building at its world headquarters in New Bremen, Ohio, company officials announced Friday.

Officials said the new, 44,400-square-foot building is located on the site of the historic Boesel Opera House, which in February 2012 was damaged by a fire that destroyed the building’s interior.

Crown incorporated a number of the original building’s features that were not significantly damaged by the fire, including much of the exterior framework and ceiling beams. The new building’s lobby also features the original tile floor from an historic New Bremen hotel.

The new facility at 125 W. Monroe St. houses members of the company’s marketing, sales, service and branch operations teams.

Crown Equipment manufactures electric and gas lift trucks. The company also has regional headquarters in Australia, China, Germany and Singapore, with more than 10,000 employees worldwide.
