Houston was the last new flight the Dayton airport added. United began service to the George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston in June 2018.
United plans to offer Dayton area consumers more flights between Dayton and Chicago and Washington by summer 2020, she said.

Despite the service change, United still plans to maintain the same capacity at the Dayton airport in the summer of 2020, compared to 2019, she said.
The Dayton International Airport ranked number 1 in the nation for having the least crowded flights in 2018, according to a recent study by CompareCards.com.
In 2018, there were 1,185,995 available seats on flights departing from Dayton, and 860,749 seats were occupied, meaning the airport’s occupancy rate was 72.6% the study found.
