Terms of the deal, which closed Monday, were not disclosed.
The company will continue to do business as Security Plumbing & Heating Supply. Kim Willey, the firm’s former chief operating officer and vice president of operations, has been named company president. Other current key managers will assume senior positions at the company, officials said.
WinWholesale, headquartered at 3110 Kettering Blvd., is a distributor of residential and commercial construction and industrial supplies and materials. With the acquisition, the company now has more than 570 locations in 45 states, officials said.
WinWholesale President Jack Johnston said the company’s growth strategy includes acquiring successful wholesaling companies that strengthen the firm’s presence in key markets and fit well within its targeted industries.
“Security Supply is a profitable company with a solid management team,” Johnston said in a statement.
On Monday, WinWholesale announced the opening of two new companies in Florida and Texas to serve plumbing contractors with products, supplies and services.
Miami Winsupply will serve Miami-Dade and Broward counties in Florida, and Wise County Winsupply will serve Wise and surrounding counties in Texas northwest of Fort Worth.
WinWholesale, the majority shareholder of both firms, now has 26 companies located in Florida, and 28 in Texas. WinWholesale serves customers through its Win branded, Noland Co., Carr Supply and Wyatt Irrigation locations.
