Anderson named director

Haven Behavioral Hospital of Dayton has announced the addition Mark S. Anderson as Director of Business Development. A Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP), Anderson has over 18 years of experience in healthcare, marketing and business development.

Anderson received his bachelor of business administration-healthcare administration degree from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. Prior to Haven, he was the Regional Director of Business Development for HCF Management, Inc., where he created strategic marketing plans for ten skilled nursing and assisted living properties throughout southern Ohio.

He is a passionate advocate for the Alzheimer’s Association, where he has raised over $150,000 within the last five years. In addition, he volunteers at the Dayton Playhouse.

As Director of Business Development at Haven, Anderson manages a team of community and clinical liaisons and is responsible for the marketing and business development strategies for the hospital.

Creech achieves designation

J. Brandon Creech, a financial advisor with Ameriprise Financial in Dayton, has achieved the professional certification of CDFA through The Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts. Creech trained to provide financial information and assistance to include evaluating the tax implications of dividing property and the settlement options for dividing pensions, marital property and awarding of child and spousal support. Due to an increase in divorce cases, the Institute trains professional financial planners, CPAs and attorneys to determine the financial needs and outcomes for couples after divorce. A growing number of Institute members are providing these services in communities throughout the United States.

Harper earns certification

Kimberly Harper earns QuickBooks Advanced Certifications. Harper, CPA at S. J. Meyer & Associates, Inc. in Englewood, has completed Intuit's QuickBooks Advanced certification course work - QuickBooks Desktop Advanced, QuickBooks Online Advanced, QuickBooks ProAdvisor, QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions v11 and is a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor for Online, Desktop and Enterprise.

The certification tests all areas of Intuit QuickBooks Accounting Software, including starting a business, recording everyday business transactions and troubleshooting issues. She has been with S. J. Meyer & Associates, Inc. since August 2010 and is also a Member of American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and Ohio Society of CPAs (OSCPA).

Hidalgo promoted at Grunder

Grunder Landscaping Co. has announced that Raul Hidalgo is being promoted to the position of Group Leader for the LandKeeping Division (LK) of the organization. Hidalgo's extensive managerial experience combined with his tenure with GLC as a LK Team Leader and a Service Manager ensure his success in this new role. The LK Division is an important part of GLC's capabilities and one of the fastest growing areas of the company.

Grunder Landscaping Company was started in 1984 by Martin J. Grunder, Jr. as a lawn mowing business. Today, Grunder Landscaping Company designs and builds landscapes, hardscapes, outdoor rooms, fireplaces, patios, and pool and spa retreats.

Two promoted at WSU school of medicine

The Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine has promoted Nicki Crellin and hired Delores James to positions as directors of major gifts. They will be responsible for growing, managing and sustaining a major gift portfolio for the medical school.

With more than 17 years of experience in fundraising, relationship building, volunteer recruitment and special event planning, Crellin has served the medical school for more than six years as the associate director for advancement. Previously, she was the district director for the Tecumseh Council, Boy Scouts of America. She also was an individual giving manager at the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra.

With more than 20 years of nonprofit management fundraising experience in annual giving, major giving, strategic planning and special events, James comes to the university having served most recently as executive director of planned giving for the University of Dayton. She also served as director of development for North Carolina Central University of Law. In addition, she was the assistant general manager of the University of North Carolina Statewide Public Television Network.

Ramsey named CEO

Haven Behavioral Hospital of Dayton has announced the addition of Wes Ramsey to the staff as Chief Executive Officer.

Ramsey received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Masters in Public Administration from State University of New York (SUNY) at Fredonia and Brockport, respectively. He has directed traditional skilled nursing centers from startup of new campuses to reshaping the culture of inner city environments.

Most recently, Ramsey served as Executive Director of Cypress Pointe Health Campus in Englewood. He worked over nine years at Arbors at Dayton, a 106-bed skilled nursing center, and the 180-bed Riverside Nursing Center. In both of these leadership positions, Ramsey demonstrated his heart for service and his ability to direct skilled nursing centers.
