Dayton Chamber adds nine to its board

DAYTON — Nine new trustees have been named to the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors, the organization said.

All the trustees will begin their terms in January, the chamber said in a news release.

Those named to two-year terms include:

  • Eric Cluxton, managing director, Wells Fargo Insurance Services;
  • Carol Hinton, president, YWCA Dayton;
  • Judi Law, president, Judo Steel Co. Inc.;
  • Lt. Gen. Thomas Owen, ASC/CC, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base;
  • Gerald Sparkman, general manager, Cincinnati Bell Telephone; and
  • John Winch, president, The Minster Machine Co.

Trustees selected for one-year terms include:

  • Gary Leitzell, mayor-elect, city of Dayton;
  • Dan Foley, Montgomery County Commissioner; and
  • Shannon Potts, chairwoman, Generation Dayton's Steering Committee.

Additionally, the chamber also said Jim Pancoast, president of Premier Health Partners, will become chairman of the chamber’s board in 2010.
