Dayton digital firm to start new division

Dayton-based Stratacache, a provider of digital signage technology, on Tuesday announced the opening of a new specialty display division called Optika Display.

Located in Dayton, the new division will expand Stratacache’s display offerings for its digital merchandising, digital signage and digital interactive solutions worldwide, the company said in an announcement.

“The global digital signage systems market is on the rise, expecting to reach $13.8 billion by 2017,” Chris Riegel, Stratacache chief executive, said in the company’s statement. “As digital continues to redefine the model for out-of-home customer engagement, there is a huge opportunity to capitalize on specialty displays capable of integrating with new digital experiences.”

Optika will focus on resizing LED displays, specialty glass, specialty lighting, glass coatings, specific interfaces and more. The division will serve the transportation, military, automotive, and gaming industries among others.

The company also said it has appointed Jason Meyer to oversee and manage the growth of the new division.
