Dayton Freight relocates Wisconsin service center

Dayton Freight Lines Inc., a Vandalia-based provider of regional less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation services, has relocated its Wisconsin Rapids service center, company officials announced.

The new facility in Mosinee, Wisc., features 14 doors and brings Dayton Freight’s service closer to its Wisconsin customer base, officials said.

Founded in 1981, Dayton Freight has 45 service centers in the Midwest region. The company offers one- or two-day service to thousands of sites in an 11-state area.

Dayton Freight, headquartered at 6465 Poe Ave. in Vandalia, is the 21st largest LTL carrier in North America, according to the Journal of Commerce.
