Dodd Camera to open Austin Landing store

Dodd Camera, a Cleveland-based photography supply and printing company, will open a new store in early November at Austin Landing, said Mark Leonard, company president.

In addition, Dodd Camera will close its Dayton Mall location after that store’s lease expires at the end of January, Leonard said.

“Hopefully, the customers will follow us to the new location,” he said.

The new 3,000-square-foot store at 10725 Innovation Drive will employ seven to eight people, who will shift there from other area store locations.

The company also is doubling the size of its Beavercreek store at 4408 Indian Ripple Road by expanding into an adjacent retail space. The 3,900-square-foot store, located across from The Greene Town Center, will feature a 30-person classroom, Leonard said.

Dodd Camera, a family-owned business founded in 1891, operates area stores in Beavercreek, Fairborn, Kettering, Miami Twp. and Springfield.

Dodd Camera purchased Dayton-based Click Camera stores in 2005.
