Navistar workers pay delayed by error

An undisclosed number of employees at Navistar’s Springfield facility didn’t receive paychecks at their normal time this week, but company officials said the issue has been resolved and all employees will be paid no later than Friday.

It’s not clear exactly how many employees were impacted, said Lyndi McMillan, a spokeswoman for the company. However, she said the company will also cover the cost of any banking fees that employees may have accrued because of the error.

McMillan described the issue as the result of a human error during the payroll process but declined to provide further detail.

Navistar employs between 1,400 and 1,500 workers at its Springfield manufacturing facility.
