The first of more than a dozen new Dunkin’ Donuts shops planned for the Dayton area opened this week at 9010 Dayton-Lebanon Pike (Ohio 48) at Spring Valley Road in Centerville.

The 2,000-square-foot shop seats 24 and opened with about 20 employees, according to Pat Gilligan, owner of the Dunkin’ Donut franchise rights in the Dayton and Cincinnati areas.

Gilligan has identified the sites of three other stand-alone Dunkin Donuts shops coming to the region: at 1931 S. Limestone St. in Springfield; at 1864 E. Stroop Road near Wilmington Pike in Kettering; and on Wilmington Pike near Ohio 725 in Sugarcreek Twp. All three will likely open by the end of the year, Gilligan said Wednesday.
